OUR TEST OF THE HEAD INSTINCT MP RACKET

The change is minimal, yet we appreciated the tangible gain in stability and comfort. We didn't feel any gain in power, or the latter was too slight to be felt.

The Instinct MP retains its strong manoeuvrability thanks to its 32cm balance, which makes for easy power delivery. Its 645 cm² headsize coupled with the 16 by 19 string pattern offers good forgiveness as well as good access to spin. Although we found spin to be a little limited, this is a step in the right direction, as it avoids the racket's catapult-like feel. Finally, its thick profile (23-26-23mm) makes it easy to get power.

On off-center balls, the racket reacts evenly and offered us good overall comfort. Tolerance, however, could be improved.

On serve, the easy power delivery makes it easy to get ball speed and aces.

Interestingly, precision is very good for a powerful racket, particularly on flat and slightly covered shots.

In short, the Head Graphene 360+ Instinct MP gives you plenty of power without sacrificing precision for a powerful frame. What's more, its compact feel means you can feel every stroke.
