Razor Code Carbon Tecnifibre String

The Tecnifibre Razor Code string is a rigid monofilament for demanding competitors.

Razor Code delivers maximum feel on explosive shots and a very high level of control. This string is ideal for players who like to hit the ball hard and feel a stable, consistent and responsive string with maximum feel.

Our test of the Tecnifibre Razor Code string

Our team was very excited to test this string from the French brand, which is supposed to compete with the famous Luxilon Alu Power.

It's clear that it's in the same league, offering a very successful compromise between power and comfort, while providing even greater comfort.

In any situation, the level of control is very high. However, the power is also there, provided you hit the ball hard enough.

The spin is about average for a round monofilament (the snapback effect plays its part correctly).

Although rigidity is high, we were pleasantly surprised by its comfort, which is quite good.

If you go off-center, the response will be less homogeneous. We can't say that Razor Code is very forgiving, which makes it a string for players with good technique and accurate placement.

Its durability is very good, and even after several hours of play, the Razor Code still provides very good feel and minimal loss of tension.

Sensations on striking are quite frank, with a muffled rear feel.

Who should choose Razor Code?

The Tecnifibre Razor Code string is designed for players looking for the best ratio of control, power and tension hold. We also recommend it for players who like a solid feel. You'll need a certain technical/physical level to get the most out of it, although many players will find it to their liking.

It's ideal for all-rounders with a good stroke and for strikers.

Where does the Razor Code string fit into the Tecnifibre range?

In the Tecnifibre monofilament range, this is the stiffest and therefore offers the best control.

Advantages :

  • Control
  • Tension hold
  • Feeling

Disadvantages:

  • Tolerance and power are reduced if you don't have a good stroke qualit
